how can i contact support ? they have not forum or chat email

Huh?

They have support link on their main site at the top right hand side.

You cant miss it... it says, not surprisingly, "Support".

Click that. Then choose Support Web Form option.

If that's too much hassle, try going direct through their email:

The patch works, but I have recently started getting a strange pop-up with IDM stating "you exceeded max download.....the system will shutdown.." etc. And, then the system automatically begin shutdown. I have uninstalled, cleaned registry entries, have entries in Hosts file, even though every now and than the pop up appear.

That's very strange :o . Have you checked your OS is virus free?

The most popular sites, tried with Edge for YouTube and Facebook. There is no more download panel from months or year. I just noticed this today. :)

Don't have Edge and don't have a Facebook account(if you could link up a test facebook video link, I might be able to check)

However, with regards to youtube, don't have any problems with it on either my firefox or chrome. :)

With YouTube as an example, the IDM download panel appears only if IDM is already running before Firefox (Stable) has been started. ;)

Strange, doesn't happen here. IDM panel shows up even if IDM was not even touched.

In response to Undertaker, YouTube doesn't work on any browser other than Internet Explorer. There are other sites.

Let's just start with that site first. If we could get YouTube working, then maybe others will also work.

If I go back to Internet Download Manager v6.28 Build 11, everything works. But, it is not simply a matter of installing Build 11.

You have to uninstall IDM and make sure all browser addons are also removed. I use Revo.

I have tested this on fresh installations of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Are you using Windows 10 64-bit?

In that case you have a grave misconfiguration on your Firefox.

Thanks a lot @Undertaker , it seems only Edge issue which is not subject for repair by IDM support team. Windows 10 have a lot of prevents, they forbid unlockers to drop virus and malware featuring and even flash content was disabled. They are limited on max and the problem seems is security issue or add-on malfunction by Edge browser.

If it works, happy to have it. :tooth:

But for discussion's sake, please enlighten about this misconfiguration?

Sometimes, the manual installation of the extensions is needed. All guides are available on the dev's website.

Working & perfect are 2 entirely different terms (in my dictionary.)

BTW, did you share your (Firefox + IDM) combo with your pet puppy?

Nah, just introduced him to Adguard. Plus he runs Nightly, and is not limited to 2 addons like me(IDM and Magic Actions)

If anything, it's just the adblocker that may have some of my settings. Not been to wilders in a while now after I came here. :P

He is at a more advanced level than me.

Left Nightly like a while ago(maybe when I was gone around that time).

If you remember, when I was using Nightly, I used to post about new upcoming features on the topic.

Back on topic, now.

Hear on PM now, about the misconfig part.
