Extratorrent Brought Back From The Dead By Fans, Now Running On A New Domain

It was merely a couple of days back when the shutdown of the torrent website Extratorrent.cc was announced. Now, a group of uploaders and Extratorrent admins claim to have revived the torrent site on a new domain Extratorrent.cd.

 

“We are a group of uploaders & admin’s from ExtraTorrent. As you know, SAM from ExtraTorrent pulled the plug yesterday and took all data offline under pressure from authorities,” reads an email sent to Fossbytes.

 

“We have successfully resurrected it back to it’s glory at extratorrent.cd with all available data. It’s live and new data is continuously being updated. Some small features are not yet working & we are getting it fixed as we speak”

 

In the email, the group also claim to have restored torrent sites The Pirate Bay and KickAss Torrents when the sites went offline in the past.

 

As of writing this story, Extratorrent.cd is working and the torrent site also has the HTTPS protocol enabled.

I think the old  Kat was hijacked by the feds because many uploaders   got caught and the Feds said they had seized the site but still it didn't effect any normal users  because it's open BitTorrent and there is no way too prove you downloaded from KAT. but no one at ExtraTorrent    got caught  only one that don't release anymore that was in Team ETRG is SAM witch was the owner  . He shut it down because he done made millions off the site and it was not worth worth the risk too him anymore was all. Private sites  can be seized too and it's happened before and it's much worse when a private site shuts down because most stuff is lost forever . Were  if its on the public trackers if site shuts down it don't matter because stuff is posted on many sites and if it stays seeded it will last for years after a site shuts down .

 

They has been as many new sites open up this year  more than has shut down i have a list  of all the open sites that gets updated every so often. They has been like  7 one stop shop sites open this year in English alone and many others not in English as well  and some that specialize  in certain media and it's just AUG still  Fall and Winter too go . Some call it Hydra but i call it the lure of easy money.
