It allows you to define your personal profile or "usual" responses to a web form. This information is then saved, and when you need to fill a form, just click "Fill Forms" button, and form is filled out. Works as an add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome, Firefox or Netscape web browsers. Starting with version 8.x, all your login data is stored on Roboform's cloud servers using Roboform Everywhere vs stored on your local pc with 7.x. This makes it easier for hackers to steal your info. READ THIS 2. There is no working medicine for 8.x. Version 7.x medicine does not work with 8.x. Latest version 7 release is 7.9.28 released on 12/8/16. 3. If you choose to install 8.x, backup all your login data under Documents/Roboform in case you decide to rollback to version 7; Use WinRAR to backup that folder. 4. Completely uninstall version 7.x then reboot before installing 8.x to prevent your browser from hanging up. 5. Version 8.x requires an email login id to use it. Single login for all devices via Roboform Everywhere. 6. Roboform 8.x cost is $19.99 for 18-mos, $49.99 for 5-years or $74.95 for 7-years. 7. I have spoken to Siber Systems tech support, they cannot and will not guarantee your accounts will never be stolen, lost or viewed by other employees. I'm not trying to scare anyone from using this app. Roboform is an amazing program. If you choose to use version 8.x, please don't store bank/credit card info with them. The new file format allows for new features such as secure sharing, as well as significantly faster syncing times (particularly on mobile). There is no way to convert RoboForm data from the new format (version 8 to the old format (version 7). However, existing desktop users do retain local copies of their old files in the event that they wish to revert back by re-installing RoboForm 7. New format data cannot be synced with old format data. In order for sync to work properly, all desktops accessing the account must be converted to the new format. Currently, only desktop versions can convert RoboForm data to the new format. However, mobile devices syncing to the account are compatible with the new format. In order to propagate the new format to a mobile device, users must manually sync when they log in to the app after converting and syncing with a desktop install. The mere fact that you have something beyond your brain already makes you susceptible to it.From the moment that people began to make the great network the extension of themselves, not to say their life itself, they gave up everything, including security... debebee Posted April 19, 2017 Share Posted April 19, 2017 * If you still use V7 and have an existing roboform Everywhere v7 account, it seems there is no upgrade fee or move for annual charges (fingers crossed) As suspected... Once you done the ONE TIME MIGRATION to 8... you lose your Roboform Everywhere v7 privileges... So it still pays not to have rushed upgraded to 8..
