How to use portable Tor 0.2.9.10 or 0.3.0.4-rc

 

PortableAppZ has recently updated (march 13, 2017) his Tor portable.

 

1.
This portable assumes that You use the portable version of one of these browsers:
- Firefox
- Opera
- PaleMoon
- SeaMonkey
- Thunderbird
- Pidgin
One of these browser must be installed before You install Tor portable.
I have used Firefox portable Multiversion and Multilingual. 
When You launch 'Tor_Portable_MultiVersion_Online.exe' this installer recognize installed version of
Firefox portable.
Both Firefox portable and Tor portable are installed in the subfolder C:\Portableapps\

 

2.
Launch 'Tor_Portable_MultiVersion_Online.exe' and, If You like to use the stable version of Tor, You must enter:
- Enter Tor Version Number:     0.2.9.10
- Enter Browser Version Number: 6.5.1
seem me that this online installer works yet in offline mode.
You must have the following file near Tor installer: tor-win32-0.2.9.10.zip
Launch TorPortable.exe, wait "Bootstrapped 100%: Done" in Tor console, then run FirefoxTorPortable.exe

 

3. 
when You run Firefox portable You must enable 'Always use private browsing mode' and restart Firefox (for enable cookies).

 

4. 
type in Firefox comman-line:
about:config     
media.peerconnection.enabled and change the value from 'True' to 'False' (simple double click on item).

 

5.
You can easy change interface language of Your Firefox Portable.

 

6.
You must have the same Extensions (Add-ons) contained in Tor Browser 'torbrowser-install-6.5.1_en-US.exe':
- HTTPS Everywhere 5.2.11
- NoScript 2.9.5.3
- Torbutton 1.9.6.14
- Tor launcher (not necessary) You already use 0.2.9.10 instead of 0.2.10.3 (present inside Tor Browser)

Anyway there are other solutions for Tor portable better than this, for example TPB PirateBrowser (with Vidalia included).
