The new Get Started app on Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Microsoft is continuously looking into ways to make Windows 10 more user-friendly, and probably the easiest way is to update the pre-installed apps that are specifically supposed to assist new adopters as they explore the operating system.

And this is exactly what Microsoft is doing right now, as the “Get Started” app has just received a new update that brings fresh content for those who want to discover the true benefits of Windows 10.

The new version of Get Started includes new videos that help users discover new features available in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, such as Cortana, Windows Ink, Microsoft Edge and support for extensions, the new Action Center, and the improved Windows Store.

Furthermore, the search option has been enhanced as well to make it easier to reach content that’s relevant to a specific keyword, so there’s basically no reason not to give Get Started a try if you don’t know what’s so special about the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Get Started is an app that comes pre-installed in Windows 10, and in order to get the latest update, you need to fire up the Store and look in the Downloads and updates section. A Microsoft account is needed to get stuff from the store, so if you’re using a local account, you’re missing out on a lot of goodies that Microsoft is offering in the store.
