These men are turning dead animals into drones because ‘everything is better when it flies’

Bart Jansen lost his cat Orville in a car accident, so as a tribute he decided to turn it into a drone. That's not all, Jansen now runs a company called Copter Company, which makes a wide range of taxidermy animal drones.

This world is full of all kinds of people! Today we ran into a new kind, the kind which decided to make a drone out of his dead cat. His name is Bart Jansen. Jansen, runs a company called Copter Company, which is a Netherland-based company that produces a wide range of taxidermy animal drones. Essentially, the company stuffs animals corpses and turn them into drones.

In a trailer video for Copter company, Jansen narrates how the idea of taxidermy animal drone kicked off in the first place. He says that he lost his cat Orville in a car accident. So, as a tribute to the untimely death of his cat, he decided to turn it into a drone and  called it Orvillecopter. However, he knew nothing about drones or the engineering behind remote controlled helicopters, so he approached an engineer. Arjen (the engineer), at first thought the idea was crazy (naturally!), but then he agreed to work on it.

Basically, they stuffed dead Orville’s corpse with motors and installed blades on its four legs to turn it into a drone. And it is actually a fully functional remote-controlled flying dead cat drone! Of course, at the same time it highly horrifying.

And that is not all. Jansen believes that “everything is better when they fly,” he says “big trays of salmon salad is better when it flies” (now, whatever that means!). Therefore, he stuffed other animals too and turned them into drones. He’s so far made an ostrich-copter, a rat-copter, a shark-jet and a badger-submarine. He supports his idea by saying that they only use “roadkill” and they are already dead. In principle, anyone who has a dead animal can approach the Copter Company.

Even though this is an idea never thought of (or implemented) by anybody ever before, we don’t feel so good after seeing this. The world didn’t really need this invention. What do you think? Is the concept good or bad?
