Microsoft Office 2016 License Conversion. v2.1

Automated batch script to convert MS Office Licenses.

 

Especially good for those that want to be able to customize their installation but have a legal Retail key.

 

Instructions:

• Run the batch file and choose one of the options.

 

Important notes before starting:

• This converter is only for MS Office 2016.
• You need to run one of the installed MS programs, once, before converting to Retail, if not the programs will crash on launch.
• To fix MS program crashing after conversion, run setup again and choose repair, then run once one of the programs, and THEN convert.
• In order that the conversion should succeed, after the conversion you need to insert a Retail key before running any of the installed MS office programs.

 

Includes:

EZ-Convert = (removes license files, and installs chosen licenses)

Check activation status = check activation status of the installed office products

Check installed License = displays all installed office 16 licenses

Remove license = Removes all installed licenses, also removes all installed keys.

Install licenses = Installs chosen licenses.

Insert product key = You need to insert it with hyphens. works both on retail and volume

Activate online = Tries to activate your key online (volume/retail)

Activate offline (via phone) - sub menus

    Get installation ID = (volume/retail)

    insert Confirmation ID = you need to insert the key without hyphens (volume/retail)

Goto installed office folder = in order to run manually ospp.vbs

 

 

Tested: MS Office 2016 ProPlus x32/x64 on

• Windows 7 SP1
• Windows 8.1
• Windows 10

28/sep/16 v3.1 = fixed the generic KMS installtion (wasn't finished up)

Has anyone on this forum tested this?  Poster says it has been tested but not by whom and I am suspicious of everything, particularly a script.

Right now no, but if i'm correct it does remove the licenses from these products (in short requiring a repair installation before use) , that's becuase i still didn't find any simple way to uninstall specific product licenses (could be i didn't search enough) now that i see that there is a demand for this batch file i might reverse engineer the Retail2Volume+ script to figure this out.

 

Will keep you guys posted on the progress

 

Edit: in any event i should and would add support for these products.

Thanks, but no, as i'm working with the licenses itself that removes all installed keys automatically. 

 

You know what it would be a good idea to get them as i would also add conversion from retail to volume and then i would need the generic KMS keys.

• Convert Project and Visio to Retail/Volume (It's in the Install license file menu)
• Automatically installs generic KMS key upon conversion to volume.

Try with keyboard key "O" to approve and see the result.

try now with [ J ] key according to german keybord and see the result.

i haven't tried 3.1 version of the script, i tried 3.0 version so if the problem is still there, use 3.0 script version and try with [ Y ], [ O ], [ J ] keys and see the result.

it worked for me with 3.0 script version using [ O ] as i have french keyboard so maybe the script was made to use it according to keyboard of the country where you live.

Can you send me a screen shot of the error and did you try to convert it first? Also I'll test it and get back with you in the mean time.
One more thing do you have windows 7 pro, home or ultimate?
