During Google I/O 2016, the company announced some new features for developers and end users alike. One of those novelties was the Early Access Apps Section. The section allows users to joining beta testing programs easier. Google has just made the section live.

In the past few years, Google started allowing developers to test their beta versions of applications through the Google Play Store. Users could opt for joining such testing programs either on Google Group or Google+ Community.

The new Early Access Apps Section shows unreleased applications that users can check out on the Google Play Store. The section went live today, which means that it will be available to users from all around the world.

A new banner was added for the Early Access Apps section, which reveals a whole list of unreleased applications that users can check out. Even games are part of this section, so users can join beta tests to check out the new offerings. Leaving a beta testing program was also made easy, users simply need to scroll down to the bottom of the app page and tap on the “Leave” button.

There aren't many apps and games in development currently, ten or nine apps are available in the section and the number depends on regions and availability.

The features first started rolling out to some users in May, but it seems that now Google has decided to make them available to everyone in the Play Store.
