It then optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping. Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing the Internet traffic. It allows maximum speed while ensuring minimal Ping. You can use cFosSpeed with a router and/or a DSL-modem or cable-modem. It's about traffic shaping and prioritisation meaning I can download 9Mb/s and upload 2Mb/s and still have sub 30ms latency in online game, which is impossible without this software as Windows default network stack is fifo = first in first out meaning latencies in order of hundreds when line is congested. I have been using cfosspeed for years and even purchased it as it's an amazing piece of software. Of course if you get high latency even with clear line then you're right, only upgrade of internet will help, but from your post I got the feeling you regard cfosspeed as some magical internet booster which it isn't. I'm allowed the benefits of doubts after using the program for a few months. Mostly I don't like running continuously, unnecessary background processes.
