OnePlus, Vivo and Oppo have one major thing in common: the smartphone makers are owned by the same company, BBK Electronics. Now, it seems that the Chinese have decided to launch a new mobile phones brand in China, namely imoo.

 

With this new launch, the company’s portfolio now holds a number of 4 handset brands, which is quite impressive. However, imoo will be slightly different compared to the other three, in the sense that it will manufacture educational smartphones, according to GizmoChina.

 

As it turns out, BBK Electronics isn’t new to this market segment, as it has created educational toys for children in the past years. The company hasn’t provided any specifics on what consumers should expect from these educational smartphones, but new information is bound to surface in the near future.

 

The first imoo learning phone will be announced on June 24

 

BBK Electronics has released the first teaser for the device, but it has provided few details in it. It calls the device “imoo learning phone,” which, by the way, will be officially unveiled on June 24, just two days from now.

 

The image also confirms that the handset will be quite slim and have a metal frame. It also reveals that it will come in a gold color variant, but the company might release other color versions as well.

 

The teaser suggests that the device will have a SIM card tray and a button that could be used for video recording. The device will be launched in China first, but it could hit worldwide markets afterwards.

 

BBK Electronics was founded more than 20 years ago, and the company specializes in manufacturing phones, MP3 players, Blu-Ray players, digital cameras, and many other types of products.
