Tor Browser Fingerprint

 

Tor Browser and Tails version fingerprinting in Javascript (and some CSS). The PoC can also detect if Tor Browser is running on a Mac OS X. Works up to medium-high privacy settings.

Responsible Disclosure

The Tor-project was contacted in Jan 2016. But no changes has been made since the root of the problem is located in Firefox.

This test dont work tested in the latest tor browser  for Linux  every time i close and open it  it gives a diffent fingerprint it dont know im using tor browser or anything.

 

 

 

there's another test  thats been around along time not this one were all they have to do is check you're ip and they know if you are using a tor node or not ,  stock tor browser score low on a  anonymity test.

I just tried it under Win 7 64 bit.  My fingerprint is the same as in post 1 with no tails.

Easy to fix. Just enable NoScript abilities to BLOCK Javascript.

It must just be windows and mac  problem i can even disable NoScript addon   in Linux were it dont load it still dont know im using it .. anyways  all anybody has to do is look up you're  ip to know if you're using tor or not  I'm not on tails just on Linux based on Ubuntu 14.04. using the Tor browser for Linux
