PowerISO 6.6

Recommended Posts

PowerISO is a powerful CD/DVD image file processing tool which allows you to open, extract, create, edit, compress, encrypt, split and convert ISO files. Obviously PowerISO is capable of mounting these image files using its own virtual drive. It's able to process almost all CD-ROM image files including ISO and BIN. PowerISO also supports the DAA (Direct-Access-Archive) format, an advanced image format which supports some advanced features like compression, password protection, and splitting to multiple volumes.

Thanks to sternog and Astron for the update.

Hi,

are we sure that Open Candy is not installed from above links?

I'm asking since I found that shit inside installer when I unpacked with Uniextract - folder $COMMONFILES ...... $PLUGINSDIR  and inside InstOpt.dll and System.dll?

May be it will not install, but somehow I am not sure in that - also download from Softpedia have also inside the same files.

Thanks

Shell extension context menu based on old versions, there more optional entries now. Users w/o admin privileges may not run DISM tool.

PortableWares made that portable in October 2015 so it probably needs updating.

I would do it myself but I am not as good at it as he is. I'll see if Dave Green wants to take a look at it.

Virtual Drive Manager works, read notes.txt in Other folder.

#####
NOTES
#####
1. PWRISOVMPortable.exe requires VirtualDrive, else there's nothing to manage!
   Simply set VirtualDrive=true

2. I've designed this for users w/out Administrative Privilege in mind.
   ie. for students, corporate users, etc.
   If you're a Power User.. i've enabled Shell Extension & Virtual Drive as an
   option. refer to PowerISOPortable.ini.

3. Kindly's patch doesn't work right..
   Under certain conditions.. an error occurs pertaining to "Unregistered" error.
   Nikko's serial is the only propper key i could find.
   Plus.. it allows me to create an Online installer w/out patches.

4. I've added a safety mechanism to prevent orphaned drives.
   You can simply exit PowerISO and the Launcher will handle the rest.

###############
TROUBLESHOOTiNG:
###############
Q: Virtual Drives are still visible even after exiting PowerISO.
A: Simply restart PowerISO > set # of drives to 0
   or close all instances of Explorer
   or restart computer

this method bypasses Online downloading.

for instance:
- if you would like to install with a specific version..
- if your Internet connection is incompatible..
- if the Installer is not working correctly..
- if you're a tech. who plan to install on multiple machines.
- or to install a specific language.

1. Download x32: http://www.poweriso.com/BD92EC3F-82F9-887E-8857-FE98BC7E2755/PowerISO6-Full.exe
   Download x64: http://www.poweriso.com/BD92EC3F-82F9-887E-8857-FE98BC7E2755/PowerISO6-x64-Full.exe
2. Rename to "PowerISO.exe" or "PowerISO64.exe" depending on architecture
3. Place next to PowerISOPortable_x.x.x_32bit_64bit_Multilingual_Rev.3_online.paf.exe
4. Install as normal

OPTIONALLY: pass -x or /x for extraction only.

############
ASSOCiATiONS
############
I've made it super easy to add associations.

1. Navigate to: PowerISOPortable\App\AppInfo\Launcher
2. Open PowerISOPortable.ini with Notepad or any text editor
3. Scroll down to: [Associations]
4. Simply add desired assocation underneath in numerical sequential order.

ie.
    [Associations]
    1=daa
    2=iso
    3=bin
    4=cue
    5=img
    6=mds
    7=wim
    8=ima
    9=etc...

Supported filetypes:
ashdisc, b5i, bif, bin, bin, bwi, c2d, cdi, cif, cue, daa, dmg, fcd, flp, gi,
ima, img, iso, isz, lcd, mdf, mds, ncd, nrg, p01, pdi, pxi, uif, vcd, wim.

NOTES:
• Adding too many can impact launch time.
• Some filetypes will not work properly without Administrative Privileges.
• Windows XP cache icons which are visible even after exiting PowerISO.
• Do not associate through PowerISO! Doing so will cause trash in the registry.

DiRECTORiES OR FiLES TO PRESERVE:

If there are any directories or files you'd like to preserve during upgrades or reinstalls:
- add here: ..\App\AppInfo\installer.ini

Files example:
    [FilesToPreserve]
    PreserveFile1=App\file

Directories example:
    [DirectoriesToPreserve]
    PreserveDirectory1=App\directory

In addition, [DirectoriesToPreserve] & [FilesToPreserve] entries are preserved.

I have registered PowerISO 6.6 using the Kindly patch and the program stays registered no matter what I do with it. So I believe the Kindly patch really gets the job done and people shouldn't have any problems registering PowerISO 6.6. However I have noticed certain strange things about version 6.6 and I can't work out what's wrong:

1. Drag and drop won't work. All other ways of adding files to PowerISO work but drag and drop won't.

2. I tried creating an ISO file out of a single 700 MB file but ended up with an error message saying "Unexpected end of file found". Even if I added several other 700 MB files I still got the same error message. I had no problem creating an ISO file out of a single 4598 MB file though. What could be the reason for this ?

Keygen by Team R2R works fine for me.

I use windows firewall...How do I do that block??? Or is that a host file block?

I'm sorry, My Friend. Almost 10 hours I am in the field. Here it is:

1. Run Command Prompt as Admin (right-click on Start Menu and choose (Command Prompt (Admin).

2. Type notepad drivers\etc\hosts on dos prompt.

3. Put this text:127.0.0.1 50.62.134.113 in the last line and save it.

4. Done.

I followed your steps and got PowerISO registered - I just hope it doesn't unregister itself after a couple of days of use. The good news is I can now create ISO files out of any files no matter how big the original file is. However the "drag & drop" function of PowerISO still won't work and I tend to think it's a bug in the program itself. Do you guys have problems with dragging files to PowerISO ?
