These armed robots are equipped with grenade launchers and rifles to fight the “global terror”, the local media reported. This happened at the 2015 World Robot Conference in Beijing, where three toy-sized attacker robots were unveiled, equipped with the ability to coordinate with each other on the battlefield.

First model of the robots is a “reconnaissance” robot, also known as scout. Explaining its capabilities, Wu Yanpeng, Harbin-based HIT Robot Group engineer and developer of robots, said that scout scans the battlefield using camera and sensor. After identifying the explosive and chemicals, it transmits this information for further actions.

After analyzing the information, the small explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) will start its operations of moving and defusing the bomb. The small EUD robot, made of aluminum and industrial plastic, is about 12kg in weight and it’s specially made for soldier alone in the field.

The HIT Robot Group mentioned the price of this set of three robots as 1.5 million Yuan (about 230, 000 U.S. dollars). The company mentioned that now it’s having many buyers, including the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.

It should be noted that in the wake of recent attacks on Paris, China itself is on national alert and the officials are asked to work more on terrorism prevention measures.
