Official ISOs still available, but they’re all hidden

As you probably heard during the weekend, Microsoft decided to remove the Windows 10 Threshold 2 (November Update) ISO download links all of a sudden, so the only way to get this new version is now via Windows Update. The ISOs that Microsoft provides at the moment point you to 10240 RTM build.

And yet, there still are ways to download the official Windows 10 Threshold 2 ISOs, and they do not involve turning to file sharing websites that usually hold the files, too.

The ISOs that Microsoft originally provided are available on its servers, but the download links are now hidden, so the two methods detailed below can help you reach them.

Keep in mind, however, that Microsoft can block these methods any minute now, so we can’t guarantee that they’ll work forever. We’ll update the article when they are no longer available.

Method 1: Media Creation Tool

Microsoft hasn’t removed Windows 10 Threshold 2 completely from its servers but actually pulled the plug on the Media Creation Tool that allows users to download the official ISOs.

And yet, while the Media Creation Tool is no longer displayed on the Windows 10 download page, the links are up and running. This means that you can still download the Media Creation Tool and create a bootable USB stick with Windows 10 Threshold 2 just like before.

Method 2: ISO files

In addition to the Media Creation Tool, users can still download the Windows 10 November Update ISOs from TechBench. Again, files continue to exist, but the links are hidden.

We’ve heard from our users that some localized versions of the TechBench websites no longer host the download links for Threshold 2, but you can use others to find the ISOs for any language you want. For example, the German TechBench website still allows you to download the removed files in English too, but make sure you select the version you want (use Google Translate if you don’t figure out how to do it).

More versions of TechBench could be used in the process, but make sure that the file you download has the “1511” tag in the filename. If it doesn’t, the chances are that you most likely download the 10240 RTM ISO.

These methods could be blocked soon though.

Sorry to disappoint you, but all solutions are not working for quite some time.

Right now the only solution is, to use WZOR's hack

Just replace the de-de to en-us and you have your english translation.

N stands for the European version without WMP and KN is for Korea without WMP

The 64-bit Media Creation Tool usually has a 64, like MediaCreationTool64.exe. Will the link in the OP only download the 32-bit version, because it downloads MediaCreationTool.exe? Thanks in advance.
