Karamjit
The first country to publish its own set of themed emojiHow would you feel if the country you're living in would have its own set of country-themed emojis? In an era of social inter-connectivity, you would think that most countries have decided to adopt its own set of emojis, but this is far from being true. According to a Finnish publication, Finland is the first country in the world to publish its own set of country-themed emojis, which are supposed to offer foreigners a look at the strengths and weirdnesses of the Fins. Among Finland's most popular emojis, the Nokia 3310 has been chosen as one of the country's most treasured symbols. Nokia, the Finnish company that ruled the mobile phone market several years ago, remains one of the country's biggest technology giants. The first country-themed emojis will be published in the form of a Christmas calendar, which is all about Finnish feelings. One of the world's best-selling mobile phones of all timesThere will be more than 30 emoji stickers included, and the first three have been revealed this week: the Headbanger, the Sauna and the Unbreakable (Nokia 3310). Each of these emojis comes with a short description, so here is what the calendar says about the Nokia 3310 emoji: “The Unbreakable. The legendary Nokia 3310 is one of the highest selling mobile phones of all times. The phone was designed in Finland and it is known for its toughness.” The calendar containing these Finnish emojis will be available in 13 languages, including Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Hindi, Polish and Turkish. “We have been anything but serious when creating these emojis. Hopefully they will open up not only our weirdness but also our strengths of which unarming honesty is one example,” hopes Petra Theman, director for Public Diplomacy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The calendar will be available online and via ThiisFINLAND social media channels beginning December 1. Besides the 24 calendar hatches, there will be general Finnish emojis released. From

I keep around a Nokia in the event that all my other phones break (which happens pretty often, come to think of it.)
