The Good:
The firewall quickly reacted to events.

AVG Internet Security light on system resources, even during scans.

We haven't noticed compatibility issues with Windows 10.

It features a self-protection module against hijackers.

It contains numerous advanced configuration settings for expert users.

The Bad:
We haven't noticed any significant changes compared to the 2015 edition of AVG Internet Security.

Casual users will have a hard time discovering how to configure the advanced settings.

We expected better malware detection results.

The automatic response was late in our tests (at file launch).

avg doesn't inspire confidence since that big fuckup they did on some 60 mil computers remember?

Microsoft doesn't inspire confidence since they sold us Vista and unfinished Windows 10 that also spies on us. :D :D :D

Have tried and tested every AV out there, keep coming back to AVG,

Interface is easy to navigate.

Able to disable the app from a simple right click when testing keygens, etc.

Scanter by default doesn't delete something it's flags like other AV apps do..

Activation doesn't require a patch or hack.

Scanner runs smoothly in background, doesn't bog me down like Norton, McAfee, etc.

Updates are pushed daily

Firewall works great, easy to block apps that call home

Scans email/downloads in real time, warns -- doesn't delete what it finds.

Protects against websites with code to hijack browser

Me too...I've used AVG for years and it does its job for me. I think there is no 100% effective solution, but you can add to your antivirus protection level by being careful about where you go on the internet and what you click on. I don't have any intention to change from AVG. ;) ;) ;)
