If the WZOR team says it is can be possible. : )

You need to install and test on Real Machine cause on Virtual Machine you can't get directx-12 most of the VM does not have supporting device as default.

Tempting since I'm still using Windows 7 x64 but since I dont have a DX12 card and there aren't any DX12 games, I think I'll wait.

I read on.twitter. that windows 7 is missing WDDM2.0 so there is no way it could work on Windows 7 . Even on some Windows 10 systems people are stuck with using DX 11 ;)

AMD Divers dont support but certain video cards for DX12 and these are only windows 10 drivers , so how it suppose to work in windows 7 when it dont have Windows 10 drivers for Dx12? When AMD dont even have drivers that work with DX 12 for some windows 10 models . I'm not sure about Nvidia but i guess its about the same ,

But even if you do install it on a system with Nvidia there's not much difference Only way you see a big difference If you use AMD and has to be a card were AMD supports it with Win !0 Drivers.

If some people cant even get it on windows 10 , hows it going to work in Windows 7 ?

AMD graphics cards see huge gains with DX12, Nvidia not so much

DxDiag doen't show DirectX 12; haven't tested any games since I'm not into gaming.

Maybe someone else can test this

What ever version it says you have that's the version you have . Same with someone who uses a ard video card not supported in windows 10.

Here's and example

The following products have driver support for Windows® 10 and DirectX 11:

  • AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series/AMD Mobility Radeon™ HD 6000 Series Graphics
  • AMD Radeon™ HD 5000 Series/AMD Mobility Radeon™ HD 5000 Series Graphics

These dont even support Windows 10 at all and suggest you roll back to you're old O/S or not update

The following is a list of graphics products that do not support Windows® 10:

  • ATI Radeon™ HD 4000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4000 Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3000 Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 2000 Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ X1### Series/ATI Mobility Radeon™ X1### Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ X### Series/ATI Mobility Radeon™ X### Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 9000 Series Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 8500 Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 7500 Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ DDR Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 7000 Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 7000VE Graphics
  • ATI Radeon™ 7000LE Graphics

Only way around this is too find old set of drivers working in windows 10

AMD is not even going to support windows 10 in many older models at all .

Some they still sell new in stores even no windows 10 soupport only 8.1 or 7 Old DX only <_<

Only GCN AMD cards can even support DX12, so HD7xxx series onwards.

I guess it doesn't work then as nobody has confirmed it, shame.

These are the ones that will work

  • AMD Radeon™ R9 Series Graphics
  • AMD Radeon™ R7 Series Graphics
  • AMD Radeon™ R5 240 GPU
  • AMD Radeon™ HD 8000 Series Graphics for OEM systems (HD 8570 and up)
  • AMD Radeon™ HD 8000M Series Graphics for notebooks
  • AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series Graphics (HD 7730 and up)
  • AMD Radeon™ HD 7000M Series Graphics for notebooks (HD 7730M and up)
  • AMD A4-7000 Series, A6-7000 Series, A8-7000 Series, A10-7000 Series APUs
  • AMD A6 PRO-7000 Series, A8 PRO-7000 Series, A10 PRO-7000 Series APUs
  • AMD E1/A4/A10 Micro-6000 Series APUs
  • AMD E1/E2/A4/A6/A8-6000 Series APUs

They trying to sell you new hardware for boxes that came with win 8 on them

They still have as far back 4000 series in stock in stores in computers and they wonder why pc bunnies is not doing good, the hardware companies are killing it ! At lest make drivers to support Dx 11 for windows 10 . Its not like they cant do it 15.6 and older is working with DX 11 for older models in windows 10 . They not sold hardly any windows 8 or 8.1 boxes so its going to be a total lost almost . you be better off buying a pc with Windows 10 on it . :tooth:

That crap about how easy it is to update to Win 10 is BS from older O/S is BS you may can but you be stuck with old drivers forever . :s

My machine suppose to be supported still but MS$ gives the wrong driver so i'm having use and older one.

what does it mean "does not support windows 10"? i have onboard amd 3300 in my desktop and Microsoft gave it new driver (via windows update), AMD doesnt care though :D . well, it works fine, games too (old games and low-req games :) ). in win8 i used legacy driver from AMD, which was bit buggy.

and my intel hd first gen got new driver too from Microsoft (in Win10), where Intel has stopped its support.

unless it means support for dx12.. :D

@ cLcL When Microsoft install the AMD DD in my machine it messes up DXVA in all my media players . I have to use AMD Catalyst 15.6 beta or older to fix it

AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 Display Driver For Windows 10 want even install on my machine . I suppose to let Microsoft install it and the one they give me is broke. :(

All those they do not support at all in windows 10 they say dont install windows 10 , or roll back, or buy new hardware . but you can use old drivers and get around it.
