What we don't know is what page file size is optimal for different systems. I have 8GB RAM and had issues playing GTA V on Windows 10. so what is the best page file size for this system?

At the bottom of virtual memory it will have the recommended value for what ram you have you just set both boxes to that is how this fix works.

16 mb is the minimum regardless of what you set it too . the more ram the higher the recommended value is and what ever it is that's were it should be. If you set it to a non recommended level then you could mess things up .What I get from it windows 10 by default has the wrong page file setting.

Is it a good idea to change my Microsoft Windows page file size?

No! Let Microsoft Windows choose the best initial, maximum, and minimum settings for virtual memory.

Disabling or setting the page file size too small can reduce system performance and cause instability and crashes within Windows.

Having a larger page file is just going to add extra work for your hard drive, causing everything else to run slower.

Page file is used when your RAM is not enough for all your running programs. I have 16gb of RAM and have disabled mine completely. It works with no problems.

Not Having not enough ram to run windows 10 is going to do that anyways . That's what article is all about . If you have a of lot ram there no need to fool with it its only meant for people who have crappy pcs. Its like when I had a xp with 2 gb of ram and i put win 7 x64 on it it didn't last but two years.

I think some of the bugs in Windows10 are O/S bugs and I didn't have on windows 8.1 I will wait on M$ to fix.

But M$ flat out lied saying it would work good on all old pcs

I even read on here some rolled back because of it but im trying to tough it out lol . And My computer came with windows 8 x64 on it has enough ram . Like my browser and media player work great its just some apps it dont seem work that great for me like my IM and my portable launcher .

Microsoft are working on the way it handle memory right now in the preview .

In Windows 10, we have added a new concept in the Memory Manager called a compression store, which is an in-memory collection of compressed pages. This means that when Memory Manager feels memory pressure, it will compress unused pages instead of writing them to disk. This reduces the amount of memory used per process, allowing Windows 10 to maintain more applications in physical memory at a time. This also helps provide better responsiveness across Windows 10. The compression store lives in the System process’s working set. Since the system process holds the store in memory, its working set grows larger exactly when memory is being made available for other processes. This is visible in Task Manager and the reason the System process appears to be consuming more memory than previous releases.

It got some bugs with memory are that would not be what there trying fix it. Right now on stable build I experience slow response on some apps.

If everything is OK (programs are not damaged), then the computer the speed determines the processor, and you cannot do it any way faster than it is.
And that's all.
