Roy W Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 After downloading Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool and Windows 10 doing all the necessary updates the following message appeared:"Restoring your previous version of Windows"We could'nt install Windows0XC1900101-02004The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during INSTALL RECOVERY_ENVIROMENT operation.Has any fellow nsaner got a clue what this all means? Kalju Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 Can not figure out guess, but it seems that you wanted to upgrade - there are two possibilities when using a DVD. Roy W Posted August 3, 2015 Author Share Posted August 3, 2015 @KaljuYes! wanted to upgrade my Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10.Made a second attempt this morning and got the same results.I downloaded the Media Creation Tool as has been suggested by Microsoft.Once you click to open this Tool the whole procedure of installing takes placeWhen it reaches Installing Windows 10 you are informed that your PC will restart several times,this did not happen once.It stuck at 33% while installing.This message appeared after quite a while.Restoring your previous copy of Windows.We couldn't install Windows0XC1900101-02004The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an errorDuring INSTALL_RECOVERY_ENVIROMENTWhat can I do to install this Windows 10?
