[Solved]D-Link DSL-2730U firmware update

right now am using DSL-2730U modem 1.02 firmware version.(INDIA)

when checked for firmware udpate its showing 1.03 new version @ dlink official site

so i have downloaded the latest 1.03 version

but in the instructions it was given

Do NOT upgrade firmware on any D-Link product over a wireless connection.
Failure of the device may result. Use only hard-wired network connections..

then how to update the firmware.?

pls give me suggestions.

Connect ur Router with Computer using LAN cable

and now enter ur router admin mode

1 goto any browser

just type 192.168.1.1

this should prompt to a LOGIN details

now use this info

user- admin

pass- password OR admin(varies from router to router)

then goto ROUTER UPGARADE or FIRMWARE UPGRADE

then browse ur firmware and update it

BAM u r done..router will automatically reboot after sucessful upgrade
