Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is considered to be the next step in the detection and removal of malware. In our product we have compiled a number of new technologies that are designed to quickly detect, destroy, and prevent malware. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can detect and remove malware that even the most well known anti-virus and anti-malware applications fail to detect. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware monitors every process and stops malicious processes before they even start. The Realtime Protection Module uses our advanced heuristic scanning technology which monitors your system to keep it safe and secure. In addition, we have implemented a threats center which will allow you to keep up to date with the latest malware threats.

Thanks to Astron for the update.

What a good malware-scanner, it detects its own driver in; C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\drivers\mbam.sys !!

Is this version REALLY better then the "good old" 1.75-version ??

( I wonder after this scan !)

I ran mine, and it did not detect mbam.sys as malware. Maybe your mbam.sys was really infected by some malware.

It should be in quarantine he can just restore it if he deleted it and find it on his system and check on it virus total to see if hes infected . ;)

When in doubt scan the file on a lot of engines and decide from there .

Anyone care to give me a comparison of MAE to AppGuard? I have been thinking of getting an AE but after reading at Wilders I am cornfused about which is better. I can not find meds for AG so I am thinking that AG would be better over MAE. I mean if an AE can be easily medicated then maybe it can be easily bypassed! I would have to pay $$ for AG but who wants an AE that is weak at any price, even free? Not me thats who. Anyways any comments, suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. tia

EDITED FOR STUPIDITY: sorry guys, I misread the post title. I see this is about Anti-malware not anti-executable!!!! :bag:

My concern here is that MBAM allowed its own driver to get infected - a driver which was clearly in the complete protection circle of MBAM . . . . . . . . . how come???

I do not think I will install it. I would just uninstall it after it said my system was clean.
