Word,Excel all crashing and the reason may be is this,

When I go to the My Account page to download and do the installation that way, I get a message saying there is no purchase associated with that account!

It is being advised to run a fix to uninstall office and then reinstall again- never worked.

One solution I just found but feedback from effected user say that it did not work.

See the Article “Why can’t I start my Office 2013 application at:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/why-cant-i-start-my-office-2013-application-HA104011864.aspx
If that does not help, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501
saving it to your computer and then running it.

Then reinstall Office by logging into www.office.com/myaccountwith your registered email address and click Install Office.

Ballistic Gelatin

You might try Windows System Restore and go back to a point before you started experiencing this issue. If successful, then avoid using Office's internal updater until you determine the cause of the problem.

I think this crash has some relation with this message,

The account isn't associated with this Office product" message when I try to sign in to my office account so the product(office 2013)is not recognised by Windows/Microsoft.

here's a couple of options:

- completely uninstall MSO (or just the recent updates if you can) and then re-install

- Use the UNOFFICAL portable version of MSO2013

- Upgrade to 2013/ 2015 VL using a KMS activator (you can get the old ribbon back using Classic Menu For Office

- Office is FREE to use online @ https://office.live.com/start/default.aspx
