This is on simple portable windows tool, which can repair some windows problems and reset windows default settings. It based on IObit Advanced Care tools, ie if You already have IObit Advanced System Care installed, You have also this tool.
Maybe You remember, this tool was some years ago available as "IObit Toolbox", but now it isn't anymore available as self-standing toolbox. So I made it.
You can select if You want zip or 7z or exe version. They are all the same.
So, if somebody needs it, please try. It is freeware, detects automatically Your system and maybe can help someway or sometimes.
If I have posted it in wrong place, may at any time remove it or move to the right place.

  • It has its own folder and you do not have to make a new folder.

Which Windows versions are supported?

The same which fits with IObit Advanced System Care v8.xx, ie Supports Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7/8 / 8.1,

but recommended are Windows Vista, W7 & W8.x.

If some function doesn't fit, it says to You, that this function isn't compatable with this os version.

(As I said earlier - this is one tool of the ASC v8.xx tool kit. Previously have made by the same method: "Program Deactivator" and "Startup Manager")

It is not sure that it could. Usually Windows is damaged and needs to be repaired. Or rather, I do not know that someone have found better and faster method solving this problem if the "Refresh Windows". (PS, it is one of the most typical error, which tells of damaged Windows files or services).

You can try: (NB: run as administrator)

%Windir%\System32\sfc.exe/ scannow

or

run cmd as admin and then

  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

But personally I particularly don't believe that it help. But this is only opinion. Try, maybe helps.
