The information has been recently confirmed by Facebook's David Marcus in a short post on Facebook:“Quick update on video calling in Messenger: we're happy to share we've now rolled out the capability globally, with the exception of a few countries we're still working on improving quality for.So make sure you get the latest and greatest version for iOS and Android, give it a try, and as always... tell us how we can make it even better for you!”If you don't have the feature yet blame your local carriersFor the time being, some users living in Romania, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Sri Lanka and Egypt report video calling feature is not yet available in their countries.A Facebook employee confirmed that voice calling is not available in some of the countries mentioned above because the feature is blocked by local carriers, or the internet infrastructure is not well developed to offer enough quality for the serviceStill, according to Facebook, video calling feature is rolled out globally gradually, so it might take some time until it reaches all countries targeted.If you don't have the application installed yet, you can now download Messenger for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.In addition, iPhone users can now download Messenger for iOS for free via App Store.
