Director JJ Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy took the stage to give lip service to the fans, doing it all for the fans and some misspelled emoticons:When all was said and done, John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Anthony Daniels (C-3P0), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) were onstage with a batch of newly-designed stormtroopers. Finally, after giving a little bit of new information about the film (the desert planet isn’t Tatooine, it’s “Jakku”), Disney and The Force Awakens team unleashed the second teaser on the world: If you didn’t get a good enough look at those new villains and the new Imperial insignia, good news: some The Force Awakens promotional art leaked this morning, giving us a better look at Kylo Ren’s mask, the new Troopers, and that awesome silver Stormtrooper with a cape.
