Apple released iOS 8.3

Posted in Uncategorized - 11 April 2015 - No comment

After released few betas, finally Apple released iOS 8.3 original version to the public. They used four betas to test about this version. As always it includes few numbers of bug fixes as well as few new introduces with improvements in this latest version. We have renewed Emoji Keyboard and few main improvements as the new features.

Available device list

iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S. iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini with retina (iPad Mini 2), iPad Mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPod touch 5.

Why it comes too early?

Without releasing any minor versions of iOS 8.2, Apple release iOS 8.3 as another major version. Why Apple do this so early? As my point of view, it has few reasons. Main reason is stopping jailbreak. All the jailbreaking teams worked hard to find method to jailbreak iOS 8.2 version. If Apple released any minor version of it, jailbreak team will find method to break it. Therefore, Apple released 8.3 version as the tricks. Actually, this is the first time Apple released two major versions in a raw.

About the jailbreak of iOS 8.3

According to the Apple’s security report it has another jailbreak kill for iOS 8.3 version. They used this from the iOS 8.1.3 version. Therefore, Cydia lovers missed the jailbreak for their devices running from the iOS 8.1.3 version. Now Apple has applied it for iOS 8.3 jailbreak as well. Because of that it has added another huge iOS version into the jailbreak waiting listed. Apple killed the TaiG jailbreak again. It is not a secret that TaiG is the main jailbreak supporter for the latest iOS 8+ versions. Cilck here to get more info about this.

What will be the next iOS version?

Most probably, it will be the iOS 8.4. Without having any minor version of iOS 8.3 such as iOS 8.3.1, 8.3.2 or 8.3.3, we will have iOS 8.4 as next.

Something is better than nothing.

We will miss working with Cydia for iOS 8.3 version too. So, without having Cydia, it is better if we have few Cydia apps only to work with our devices. It calls Semi Jailbreak. Even if it is not matching for Cydia 100%, we can work with few important Cydia apps. How ever, you can’t work with Cydia sources with Semi Jailbreak app. So, without having Cydia, it is better if you have Semi Jailbreak app. Just like Cydia you can remove this app from your version, after restore the device’s version.

No Cydia listed.

We only can work with Cydia for iOS 8.1.2 version. We missed jailbreak part, after every iOS releases from that version. Therefore, no Cydia listed is available few main & minor versions such as iOS 8.1.3, 8.2 and 8.3. If we expected minor iOS versions of iOS 8.2, Apple released another main iOS version as iOS 8.3. so then all of these versions are listed in no Cydia list. It is available Semi Jailbreak app for iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 versions from these three versions.
