The command-staff exercise will be conducted at the Telemba military field in April. Four hundred servicemen and more than 150 pieces of military hardware, including anti-aircraft missile systems, jet fighters and support aircraft, are expected to take part in the drills.

Zastava and Granat UAVs, both outfitted with photo and video equipment, will also fly missions in the Jewish Autonomous Region and the island of Sakhalin, the press service of the Eastern Military District said.

Earlier this year, the Russian Defense Ministry announced plans to conduct at least 4,000 military exercises throughout the country in 2015.
