At iSIGHT Partners, we are always looking for new and better ways to integrate our intelligence with technologies that our users work with on a regular basis. In 2014 we began addressing programmatic access to our intelligence with the release of our ThreatScape® API, which offered some basic but very valuable ways to search, retrieve and integrate our offerings with other vendor’s products. In 2015 we released API 2, further enhancing the functionality by adding features around searching, pivoting, and standard response formats, among others.

As we continue to deliver on our goal of pervasive integration, we are very excited to announce the release of the ThreatScape Browser Plugin.

Why is the Browser Plug-in So Cool?

The ThreatScape Browser Plugin is a Google Chrome extension that empowers our users by connecting indicators of compromise (IOCS) on a web page to iSIGHT intelligence. Specifically it provides the ability to interact with any web-based tool, searching for indicator matches within iSIGHT’s intelligence holdings, and pivoting out to the MySIGHT portal for access to deeper context around matched indicators. Indicator types that are supported include IP Addresses, domain names, file names, MD5, SHA1, SHA 256 and fuzzy hashes.

A key benefit of the Browser Plugin that we’re very excited about is the ability to work with any tool that is web based. This means that users now have instant integration with cloud based providers as well as vendors that have not yet provided integration via the ThreatScape API & SDK. It even works with OWA email, so you can scan distributions that you are subscribed to. Additionally, this will enable customers who are not equipped or are in the process of integrating with internal tools initial integration capabilities. With the ThreatScape Browser Plugin iSight Partners intelligence is at your fingertips and just a couple of clicks away.

Give it a Try – Give Us Your Feedback…

As we move past release, we will be posting some more information showing the Browser Plugin working with various tools on the ThreatScape Browser Plugin page. While these are great demonstrations of the interactions that we envision, we are excited to see how our users put this tool to work.

The ThreatScape Browser Plugin is bundled with all ThreatScape API, including subscriptions for seat licenses. Please contact you Client Engagement representative for more information.

Licenses for the ThreatScape Browser Plugin will be included with API 2 customer subscriptions. All that is required for use is a current ThreatScape API 2 key and access to the Google Chrome Store to download the extension.

As the ThreatScape Browser Plugin matures, users can expect to see some added search functionality, further empowering quick access to our intelligence holdings, as well as expanded browser support. We look forward to your comments and suggestions on what to add next.
