4GB USB turned into 15GB after being formatted in Linux Mint

I was working on this client's laptop when I decided to make a USB installer for another distro in her laptop. After formatting and writing the Ubuntu ISO to the flash drive its size went up from 4GB to 15GB. When I try to format it GParted would always show the "The driver descriptor says the physical block size is 2048 bytes, but Linux says it is 512 bytes." error.

How do I fix this? This is the most bizarre thing I've seen yet

Sell it on eBay as a 15Gb drive

Any chance to format one of mine low capacity pen? :D

Well, look for parameters when you format pen drive and format it again.

Okay managed to fix it with GParted. I apparently just had to keep ignoring the error messages and make a new partition table despite the errors.
