How to convert notepad back to Srt File

After filling all informations onto notepad, I cannot proceed back to Srt Format. Can any member give help to illustrate clearly the working steps before Srt File can be made for viewing on the player?

Open it and edit it with WordPad, not with Notepad.

Also, you can use these programs: SubtitleEdit 3.4.5.0 and Subtitles modifier 2.96. Easy to find, if you give a search with Google

Easiest solution is when saving to choose "save as type: all files" and add srt as file extension instead txt.

You can try Notepad++ as replacement to notepad, you won't regret in any means ;)

There will not be any problem, use the text editor. You can use any text editor, what you want. Only you can not change the first two rows (should not changed, otherwise will disappear sync) , ie where is the frame number and the time.

As I understood from your PM, you want to play some movies with chinese subtitles, but you found subtitles in other languages.

You could use Free SRT-file Translator - Version 2.9.23

This program will translate subtitles for you, and you get rid of manual subtitles editing process.

As Kalju said too, Simplicity is a thing of beauty.

Of course, don't have to great espectations from translation process, because is made by a machine, not a human.

Chatman: Thanks also for the Srt File Translator to help translating languages of subtitles. But what I try to solve is the Chinese Language Problem. Whenever I download Simplified Chinese subtitle file, it is shown in unreadable symbols and letters. There is no such problem for Tradtional Chinese subtitle file. I am trying to solve this problem as sometimes Chinese Language subtitle file may not be provided in the one you preferred as mostly they are in Simplified Chinese.
