VirtualBox 4.3.20

Recommended Posts

VirtualBox is an application installed on an existing host operating system; within this application, additional operating systems can be loaded and run, each with its own virtual environment. For example, several Linux distributions can be hosted on a single machine running Windows XP; likewise, XP and Vista can run on a machine running Linux, and so on. There is a free for personal or evaluation use proprietary version and a GNU General Public License (GPL) version.

Thanks to sternog for the update.

Can it replace the Try&Decide-modus ( Acronis) ??

Is it difficult to install on Win7 x64, and can you reboot in "Virtual-mode" ??

Why cant we download the installer-version,while the Extension-Pack does download !

Getting the message : need extra software for downloading the Windows-installer !!

This can do far more than Try&Decide lol this will let you install almost any O/S on your machine . There not going add Windows 10 support tell its at lest tell its an Release Candidate Just like Classic Shell says there going wait for RC (Windows 10 is changing too much, as such it doesn't make sense to even look into making stuff compatible)

I think VMware is best and there's always been a kg but I never seen a paf portable of it ..So I always just use virtualbox because PZ makes portable paf extractor of it. I dont like installing stuff unless I have too . :)

Why is VMware better then Virt.box ??

VMware is about 491Mb ,Virt.box is 105Mb ( ??)

Which of these two programs is easier to use,how much services do they need while starting the host-OS,is it possible to install a Win8.1 on a separate clean partition on a different HDD ( so not on the host-OS HDD !)

Whats the difference compared with a dual-boot ( Win7/Win8.1 ) ?

Please, tell me some more, before I start with this "project" , I dont want to mess up a good working PC !!
