The female-run operation is said to be a religious police force referred to as the al-Khanssaa brigade which punishes women for ‘un-Islamic’ behavior. The women are forced to be sexually submissive to Islamic State fighters who they are at the disposal of, according to the Daily Mail.

The British women who have risen to the top of the Islamic State’s sharia police are in charge of this operation, and an anonymous critic of the brothel told The Mirror that “these women are using barbaric interpretations of the Islamic faith to justify their actions.” Adding to that sentiment, the source said the practice “is as bizarre as it is perverse.”

Brothel leaders believe that the militants can use these non-Muslim women as they please.

The Middle East Media Research Institution released a report saying that IS had taken many Yazidi women to be sold and used as sex slaves.

Professors from King’s College London said there are about 60 UK women who have gone to Syria on jihad, most of which are believed to be between the ages of 18 and 24. Al-Khanssaa is said to be seeking out people engaging in Western culture in Raqqa, where US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff are presumed to have been beheaded.

British women are reportedly being given major roles within al-Khanssaa because Islamic State chiefs see them as the most committed of the foreign female jihadis, according to Daily Mail’s report.

Many have formed ‘intense friendships’ in the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa. Professors at King’s College said they have seen ‘a big uptake’ in the number of UK women going to Syria, including two teens from Austria and British Muslim convert Sally Jones, who left her young sons to fight with ISIS in Syria and ranted online about how she wants to behead Christians with a ‘blunt knife’.
