Ah, yes, I was having trouble with subtitles too. But, can all changes to settings "stick" now?

The person reported the bug says :

Subtitle quality is good but there are some dots and lines around alphabets

Someone else reported :

Latest version still has flashing top part of the window, i have only tested it using vso batcher so not sure if it still flashes when just using convertX alone

DVD cost money.. I have portables of both but always I use version 4

Same here, I might switch to v5 when they release v6.

What do you mean?

What he means if you know VSO track record I 1st used this back in version 2 always when they fix all the bugs and its nice and stable version 6 will come out with a new set of bugs .

Is there any way, registry settings or INI files that can be tweaked to get your choice of settings to "stick"?

Has anyone tried running the app as admin by right clicking icon and run as admin? Lot of times that solves setting issues in registry. Worth a shot anyways.

I actually thought about that. But, I am using the built-in ADMIN account in my Windows 7 PC. This means that everything I do has ADMIN priv in effect. FYI, maybe not the way to go for some folks...

EDIT: Also, some settings can be saved and some can not. So, it's a bitch...

FYI, Jofre's serial key doesn't work on CX2D 5.2.014b

Yes key is blacklisted in the beta , Really version 4 is better anyways .. Now days this software is old school, only time I ever use it is to burn a DVD to take to my Friends . For myself I just watch the video and dont convert to DVD. The most your going get out of a DVD is 480p or 576p according to what region your from anyways . To make a good DVD you have to download at lest a good quailty 720p file and then it down converts it to 480p DVD . You can download small files and not convert them and watch them on your computer they look just as good . You can even store 720p files on DVD and watch them on your computer by burning data disk . I think most have switched over to using Blu-ray Players that watch them on TV now days .

The only reason I convert video files to DVD is because the software [used to be anyway] was rock solid. My DVD player has a USB slot, but it only supports a limited number of video codecs. I have tried converting video to supported formats, but this usually turns out to be very tricky - especially when converting HD formats to SD. Anyway, this is why I use ConvertxtoDVD.
