Spotify Recorder

There are several programs that can record music from Spotify, but this program caught my attention particularly because of the simplicity of use, very elegant interface and especially the high quality of recording.

The way this recorder works is by recording the output of Spotify while you are playing music.

The Single song recording feature only records one song at a time, while the Batch record records your entire playlist that you have in order.

Spotify Recorder supports ID3 tags and adds album art/title/artist/album name to the outputted MP3 files.

You are also able to choose the output quality of the song, up to 3000Kbit/s (Spotify only supports 320Kbit/s maximum, but when recording WAV output, you can go up to 3000Kbit/s quality).

Single Mode Recording:

  1. Open Spotify and choose a song that you want to record.
  2. After the song start to play open Spotify Recorder.
  3. In Spotify Recorder click Pause button, then click <- button to add the song to beginning.
  4. Click Single button, then click Start Recording button.
  5. When the song is finished, Spotify Recorder will ask you where you want to save the file.

Batch Mode Recording:

In this mode you can recorde a full album, or a playlist with songs that you have pre-saved from different albums and different artists.

  1. Durring playing the first song, click Pause button, then <- button, then Batch button.
  2. Click Start Recording button. Spotify Recorder will ask you where you want to save the songs that will be recorded. The recording process is automatic and will record each song as they play.

Also, the program is free, but the program's autor(Thr) will accept your donations, both Bitcoins and Paypal.
He would be grateful for any amount, as we must be grateful for his good work.
So, visit: http://leak.sx/thread-128559 and do what you think is the best.

In the picture below you can see how similar interface has Spotify Recorder (in the green rectangle from the right upper corner) with Spotify.

There is a new version 3.0.0.10. When you run Spotify Recorder 2.1.2.0 click accept to update and will see an exe named ”update” in the folder where you have had the previous version. Rename it Spotify Recorder 3.0.0.10 and delete the old one.

By the way! The new version request Microsoft Net Framework 4.5.2 to succeed the update process.

It adds automatically even the artwork, not only title/artist/album/year/genre. As you can see I use iTunes 9.1.1 player (because newer versions interface are very uggly) and I like to have the artwork for any song.
