@maxyyyy - Your question is posted in the wrong place this is for Sims 2 but for your information The Sims 3 Katy Perry's Sweet Treats was an extra addon thats why it didnt work. Get The Sims 3-RELOADED and install that first.

@LocoJoe - Thats not a giveaway, its some pirated/cracked version. I also wonder why its smaller in size just 7.3 GB. The creator has this to say about it

This is the english only version.
I've removed support for Windows XP, but it works in all versions after that. Because the original was built when Windows 9x was around, the game is hardcoded to read the truncated 8.3 shortnames. To make this work, I've hardcoded the install folder to be C:\EA\<EXPANSION #>.

Warning: This cannot be changed, if you cannot install on the C drive, you cannot install this torrent of the Sims 2.

Anyone on this forum that knows me also knows I do not post anything that I have not personally tried out and checked for malware etc. The Saucy Releases work great with minimal effort. You get way more, faster and easier, with Saucy than any ole, giveaway! I installed this (and the Sims3 from Saucy Releases) on my daughters Win8.1 lappy and both work flawlessly. btw it is a giveaway in the sense that it is free from Saucy to you and me and anyone else wanting it. :yes: Pirated :shit: is the best :shit: btw Installing on drive c:/ is not going to be a problem for 99.9% of the people out there and Saucy clearly warns them of this fact. Rage on if it makes you happy!

(If only the mods would wake up) Yours is more suited to the wares section. I believe we all know lazyiness to make their own post in the right section when we see it. Oh I also forgot to mention the obvious as with all pirated stuff you take a risk. You never know what backdoors and trojans are hidden in it. Ive never heard of Saucy until now they are an unknown to me and not sure to trust. So given that, I would always choose to take from a more trusted source like in the giveaway. That just makes 1 thing more clearer the difference between giveaways and your pirated wares.

I agree 100% with you about EA and Origin. However the Saucy Releases are very nice. SaucyPants uses 'decrapified' pack files and compresses everything with 7zip to get as small as possible considering all you get with Saucy Releases(which is everything).

If you are getting the black shaddow box glitch under your sims like I did in Windows 7 then I suggest you use the information given in this website. Also gives information and files to update the graphic rules to get more Hi-resolution on graphic cards not recognised by the game.
