first and foremost why wud u like 2 uninstall IDM? :think:

without any program, first uninstall IDM from control panel, check temp folder, appdata folder, programdata folder.

then go to regedit in search box search one by one for these three terms: IDM, internet download mananger and tonec and keep on deleting till it says search finished....

But i m pretty sure someone will improve upon this suggestion :)

It's not long before some Lunatic escapes to this thread just to make the grand proclamation on how much superior the homemade patches & KeyGens are than the hosts method - in order to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . uninstall IDM. :wtf:

Next time, when you instal IDM in a freshly formatted PC, consider installing it monitoring by Revo Uninstaller or Total Uninstaller. Then the whole installation will be traced by the uninstaller allowing you to uninstall it completely when necessary.

The only way to do it in your way is to find and kidnap the IDM programmer(s) and threaten him to do it for you.

Do you try to start arguments randomly or do people have to queue up?

u cant removed it completely by any method....

in short even so called reg entries removed and you re-install idm it will say urs trial days period over.... it means that, it keeps some enteries in our pc which cant be traced by any un-install programs

Sorry guts, The reason I want to uninstall is do a reinstall of IDM. Yesterday, I install 6.19b7 over 6.19b6, reboot my pc and saw it is still 6.19b6. So I was thinking of starting over from scratch.

Usually, I just installed over it, it will work. But suddenly it still showed the old version.

there can be some IDM random generated registry clsid keys with permissions everyone denied, so you will not see them and delete them without some tools

Here's the complete list of IDM registry entries which needs to be deleted {need to dig deep} though not updated since long ago for the latest versions! :shutup:

Also Dont forget to delete this key if you're on Windows 7/8.1 64 bit Architecture!
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{07999AC3-058B-40BF-984F-69EB1E554CA7}

I am unable to embed the given link locally as atm forum is unable to handle the large set of instructions each time resulting in 500 0r SQL Query error! :huh:

This is the vital information that you should've disclosed in your OP.

You don't need to purge the IDM debris from your registry - just initiate a new installation with your security system disabled (looks like you have a misconfiguration - most likely in the HIPS module.) :dunno:

It didn't work. I disable and exit all my security programs, it still shows 6.19b6
