Ramjade Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Hi, I just recently formatted my laptop and when I installed office 2010, I did not receive any updates for it via Windows Update (Win 7)I went to MS site : http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/vistadefault.aspx?ln=en-USes. Click install, IE just hang. Even with IE 8 and IE 11.I select install updates automatically upon launching office and it showed installing MS update. After that window disappear, I clicked Windows Updates and still no go (no office updates and it seem that MS update is not installed) How can I get my office updates via WU?Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dee.pee Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) Many years ago, I already got this problem, but I cannot remember exactly how I could fixed. Just know I got the solution through MS website.Search on Microsoft website for "Can't obtain office update" and you will "normally" get a KB??? which will resolve your problem. When I tried to click "Click here for details" in a freshly formated Windows 7 which will give me the link above, it will hang my IE. But I clone my HDD (cause it was failing), restore it, click "Click here for details", came to the link, expected it to hang my IE, it didn't. It installed MS Updates.
