What is d7II

d7II is a professional PC technician’s multi-tool designed for automation in diagnostic, Windows repair, and malware removal scenarios. d7II is the successor to d7 Premium, the vastly popular #1 tech tool and flagship product of Foolish IT.

t70oeo.png

WHY YOU NEED IT:

  • Provides quick automation profile switching and execution for different repair scenarios.
  • Increase user productivity and efficiency, save time and dramatically increase revenue.
  • Provides all technicians with a uniform procedure to follow, ensuring optimal quality and work performance consistency.

d7II Provides automation for:

  • System Info / Reporting
  • Virus / Malware Removal
  • Windows Repair / Maintenance
  • Basic Tweaking / App Installations
  • Keeping all of your favorite tools updated
  • Integration with your PSA/CRM/ticket tracking software

d7II Features NOT Found in the original d7 Premium:

  • A complete rewrite of the fundamental framework of the entire application!
    • optimized for speed and stability, app startup is lightning quick and usage is more responsive.
    • Watch this video for a d7 vs. d7II speed comparison.
  • Reorganized menu options and a redesigned UI allow you to find solutions easier in a more intuitive interface.
  • Improved descriptions of functions for mouse hover events let you know instantly what the settings or functions are actually doing.
  • NEW ‘Session’ concept (and code rewrites) to maximize user workflow, minimize annoyances, and provide a more stable and predictable environment for d7II to operate within.
  • All existing and new dCloud functionality is included at no additional charge.
    • New functionality includes automatically checking dCloud on d7II startup (or only during a session start) for updated d7II Configuration sets or Definition files, and auto-update/merge.
  • TONS of new features and enhancements throughout the application!!!
  • MORE configuration options to make d7II startup and behave exactly the way you want it to.
  • NEW Auto Mode profile system allowing convenient switching of all automation profiles at once for different scenarios and/or automation levels.
  • Redesigned Custom Apps System:
    • Custom App configuration screens are now self-explanatory and intuitive.
    • New custom apps fields like Description and Author help identify information faster and recognize the source, while a last modified date/time stamp lets you know when the app was last updated.
    • New easy drag and drop system to assign custom apps to certain tabs of d7II in the config UI; previously this had to be done by manually copying .cfg files.
    • New App Categories including the ability to automatically run one or multiple custom apps on d7II startup and shutdown or starting and ending a d7II ‘session’.
    • All Custom Apps categories are now pooled together into three categories, d7II Official Release Apps, YOUR Custom Apps, and your apps downloaded from dCloud, keeping everything separate so nothing gets overwritten in an update for example.
    • Ability to run the latest custom apps, which may require functionality that older versions cannot interpret and act upon.
    • Automatically run apps only the first time d7II is launched on a new PC, and/or run them every time d7II is launched.
      • Useful for example running a HDD scan every time you start work on a new PC, or running Process Explorer every time you start d7II.
    • As d7II has a more robust and flexible framework, more abilities to accommodate a wider variety of custom apps are coming, with plans to add more post-execution actions to custom apps such as deleting registry keys, etc.
    • New Custom Apps sections in d7II will emerge, including a custom apps section for Repair, Tweaks, and QA/Testing.
  • Ability to run d7II from a network share (UNC or mapped drive) on multiple PCs at the same time without configurations conflicting with other running instances of d7II from the same network share, as items which are needed locally are copied automatically, and can be removed automatically when finished.
  • Ability to run d7II from write-protected media (flash drive or even an optical disk.) d7II will automatically copy your configuration set and certain components to the local OS partition for usage as write access is needed, and also these components can be automatically removed when finished.
  • Did I mention that d7II is lighter on resources and incredibly fast and responsive compared to the original d7?

d7II Features NOT Found in d7 Free:

  • Premium features! There will NOT be a free version of d7II.
  • TONS OF UPDATES! d7II users receive continuous product updates, which arrive at a fast pace.
  • TONS of new features and enhancements throughout the application and functions!!
  • AUTOMATION!!!!
    • An Auto Mode available on each page, and
    • A Full Auto Mode running through all of the various pages can be utilized.
    • Easily switch between new Full Auto Mode automation profiles.
  • dCloud usage
    • Online storage/retrieval of your d7II configuration sets
    • Merge definition files to the cloud between multiple copies of d7II
    • Utilize the ultra tiny d7II_SFX_Mini to automatically download d7II and your current config/defs from dCloud on remote sessions.
  • Ability to use d7II FTP functionality:
    • Replace dCloud for saving your d7II configurations and definitions online.
    • Ability to clone your local reports directory to the FTP server, or upload your reports as a zip file.
    • Use for storage of custom apps and scripts.

    • Automatically generate or add information and reports to tickets.
    • Compatible with systems that have an email connector (e.g. ConnectWise, etc.)
    • Compatible with customized PC repair shop systems, specifically PC Repair Tracker and RepairShopr.
  • Ability to use restricted features such as many grayed out options throughout d7 Free, including entire sections like Offline Ops and Customize/Install.
  • Clean reports without ‘sample report’ stamped throughout them.
  • Ability to perform certain time saving operations just by starting or closing d7II.
  • More configuration options.
  • No nag screens on certain functions.
  • Ability to use d7II′s scheduling features for internal update functionality and more.
  • Add your own company name to d7II′s title bar.
  • Add your own custom application name to d7II′s title bar, replacing the d7II name and version information.
  • Ability to disable my custom messages appearing in d7II′s lower status bar (such as donation solicitations, new app adverts, etc.) while d7II is idle. Instead the custom messages you will only see “Idle…”
    • NOTE: this does NOT disable new d7II version alerts when your version of d7II is not current.
  • Some minor things here and there, like the ability to save screen shots to JPEG instead of BMP, significantly reducing file size and transfer times when emailing reports or in FTP uploads.
  • Replace “Foolish IT” with your own company name and brand.
  • Replace d7II′s main logo within the main GUI and on splash screens with your own logo.

* Fixed: Splash screen wasn’t closing after DataGrab completed a backup.
v1.5.6 3-27-14
* Fixed the new feature to create a shortcut to the reports directory on the desktop — it actually works now!

* Added timeout to dUninstaller routines so it will skip a hung uninstaller after 5 minutes.
* Updated internal KillEmAll whitelist to add more remote support processes and the mbam services.

* Misc. tweaks and re-organization of Config screens in prep for new features.
v1.2.12
* Bug Fix: when creating d7II_SFX_Mini, d7II failed to recognize when you had it configured to use your own FTP server for config/definitions storage.
v1.2.11
* Modified delete temp files routines for Firefox and Chrome, I think they were overly aggressive as it appears these functions may have been causing an issue with the browsers not displaying web content properly for a while after deletion was performed.

* Fixed multiple issues with uploading your config and defs to your own hosted FTP server during End Session.

Tips / FAQs

(Reserved for Some important tips which appears ... Time to time. I will add one by one.....)

Tip: First Time Setup:

Tip: First Time Setup:

  1. Upon launch, d7II.exe will download and extract all necessary components, then prompt you to register. Cracked version NO need to register...!!!
  2. When d7II starts, go to the Main menu in d7II, then click Check for Updates. Update everything that it automatically checks for you. All thins updated except Main/cracked exe not..!!!
  3. Next you will notice your custom apps are not populated. To add custom apps to each section of d7II, go to the Main menu > Config > Custom Apps > Assign Custom App To Section, and simply drag and drop apps from the list on the left to the selected section (list on the right) to populate.

Tip: How to Download Add custom Apps?

Tip: How to Download Add custom Apps?

A. For download/Install custom apps you can use Ketarin. There is a huge list with ketarin (for download and install) but you can also add your required application which are not in the list. (for this you may read ketarin manual to add your desired application).

1- Click on main menu.
2- Click on "Check for Updates"
3- Double click on :Profile: d7II_DefaultApps (right side box), This will open Ketarn with d7II default list.
4- Either right click on each application and choose want you want or use buttons on bottom side....
Note:
Ketarin itself is a good application to download all your required software. You may try it with out d7II.
Ketarin is not for updating your installed software. Instead....
Ketarin is a tool which always download latest version for your collection (like USB/CD).

Tip: Usage/Close d7II

Tip: Usage/Close d7II
*** Always use the End Session button when finished with d7II on a system. Even if you just used d7II for informational purposes.
d7II uses a new ‘session’ concept which means the first time d7II runs on a new system, it starts a new session. This creates certain registry entries used in d7II’s operation, and performs other tasks like brands the OS (if configured) and/or installing the shell extensions (right click context menu items in Explorer.) This means that to remove these session specific settings, and shell extensions especially, you must use the End Session button on the End Session tab after you are finished with d7II on that system.

Tip: d7II create files on the desktop every time when launch.

Tip: d7II create files on the desktop every time when launch.

Original d7II comes with all necessary files and folder, upon launch, d7II.exe will download and extract all new/updated components, Cracker only uploaded cracked exe file. so when you run the program first it will creates all necessary files/folders than download/extract all new/updated files/folders.
It is good practice that:
  1. Always copy the cracked d7II.exe into a folder like d7II, or My Tool (or what ever you want)
  2. and run from there ......
  3. Download all necessary files/folder....
  4. Update them ....
  5. Close it (end session) after use.
Now you can move the folder where ever you want and next time you only copy the cracked exe in this folder and update.

d7II integrates with NiniteOne.exe

21nl40m.jpg

Just some quick notes on usage:

  • NiniteOne.exe must be in your \3rd Party Tools directory, but it really can be ANYWHERE in there.
  • Better yet, it should be on your FTP server if you are using one. To get it there, goto d7II Config > Custom Apps > Integrated Apps and select to upload your zipped NiniteOne.exe file.
  • Once NiniteOne.exe is located in your \3rd Party Tools dir or on your FTP server, you need to click the Refresh button to populate the list of applications that NiniteOne supports.
  • This should only need to be done once, or every time NiniteOne is updated with new applications.
  • After the refresh, you may prune what apps appear in the listbox by manually removing unwanted apps from the NiniteInstallApps.txt file in your d7II\Config directory.
  • Save your Auto Mode Profile to save the NiniteOne settings including the list of apps to install.

Creating your own FTP server for use with d7II

FTP Server Setup
There are several reasons why you may want to setup an FTP server for use with various Foolish IT apps such as d7II, or they may be required such is the case with dSupportSuite. There are multiple options you may choose from, but I want to cover the main two here.
Use your website host
Generally an FTP server for a Foolish IT app only requires one user account per app, with its own ‘home’ directory on the server. If you have an existing web host wherever your website is located, you probably already have FTP capabilities built-in to your control panel. For example Hostgator uses CPanel and inside you can add a new FTP user for use with your Foolish IT app. This is a very easy way to get started, especially because this server is exposed to the internet, you don’t need to worry about port forwarding and other configuration issues.
Create an Amazon EC2 Micro Instance with FileZilla Server
If that isn’t an option for you, then a great free to cheap way to setup an FTP server for use with Foolish IT apps is to setup an Amazon EC2 Micro Instance with Windows and FileZilla Server. This setup can be had for as little as FREE and likely not more than a few dollars a month, depending on usage. For this I have created a tutorial on getting it setup, and there are three parts:

d7II - A Quick Malware Removal

d7II - Custom Apps Overview

d7II - Adding a New Custom App

sweet. i really wish this thing was more "portable". like it doesn't create files on the desktop every time you launch it and what not

If you download it from official website it will already comes with required files and folder. Read this......

Coder only uploaded cracked exe file. so copy the cracked d7II into a folder like d7II, or My Tool (or what ever you want) and run from there ...... Once it will download all necessary files/folder.... update them .... Close it (end session) after use.

Now you can move the folder where ever you want and next time you only copy the cracked exe in this folder and update.
