As when Xperia SP, T, TX and V users are waiting for Sony to roll out android 4.3 update officially on their handsets, meanwhile Sony has rolled out first firmware update for Sony Xperia C C2305. Sony Xperia C, Sony’s first MediaTek SoC powered dual-SIM handset is presently on android 4.2.2 16.0.B.0.21 firmware which has so many bugs as per users views.

16.0.B.2.6 firmware keeps Xperia c on android 4.2.2 only and is a minor bug fixing update only, sadly there will be no Android 4.3 update as per Sony’s statement. 16.0.B.2.6  firmware update is available via PC Companion and SUS, no OTA seens yet. 16.0.B.2.6 firmware is confirmed in regions like India, Indonesia, Malaysia  and is still seeding so others will also get this very soon.

How to Update Xperia C on Android 4.2.2 16.0.B.2.6 firmware ?

Connect you Xperia C to PC Companion and look for a 16.0.B.2.6 firmware update notification as shown below and proceed as per on screen instructions. If you get any error regarding “update engine” during updating your phone then try again after turning off the antivirus and it’s firewall.

For all those Xperia C users who haven’t got the 16.0.B.2.6 firmware update notification yet, we will post the 16.0.B.2.6 firmware ftf soon for manual flashing via flashtool.

Download Xperia C Android 4.2.2 16.0.B.2.6 firmware ftf – Manual Flashing

Download below posted ftf file and flash it on your Xperia C with the help of flashtool, flashing requires no root.
