Damn it. I must use TrueCrypt because I'm paranoid man. RollBack is not for me :(

http://community.horizondatasys.com/forum/rollback-rx/v10-x/457-rollback-rx-and-truecrypt-system-encryption

You can encrypt your snapshots if you wish..to do so..in Rollback Rx...

Eazy Fix maybe on the back-end is rollback and the G.U.I. is Eazy Fix.

When you boot up you get the same prompt, but different G.U.I.

Encrypt snapshot is not this same as 100% HDD encryption in TrueCrypt.

I agree..Rollback Rx's encryption level/quality/reliability is not the same as TrueCrypt..You have to use either Rollback Rx or TrueCrypt...one is for convenience other is for security/privacy...

I known. Acronis works with TrueCrypt?

I don't use Acronis...these threads/article would be useful for you to read...

TeraByte Unlimited's article is extremely useful..don't ignore it if you use TrueCrypt...

eaz fix is not clone of rollback RX , its just another reseller . i use eaz fix for many years and its safe and good software.

the only thing is weird is the link of "pc undo".

the official site of EazFix is that

http://www.eazsolution.com

the weird thing it still 9.1... :)

Does Netreg.exe need to be blocked with the firewall? I'm sure that in 2 weeks they will say that this wasn't an official giveaway either :))

Weird, mine is 2698586131, I got the version from here http://www.horizondatasys.com/Files/Rollback_Rx_v102/, as Roger D suggested.

RollBack Rx v10.2 Build #: 2698663954 - updated Oct 11, 2013

  • Fixed the repeated uninstall and reinstall without rebooting overwrites the original EFI bootloader bug.
  • Fixed the setup failure caused by protecting over 5 partitions including hidden partitions.
  • Fixed the setup failure with error message"invalid system data magic" error.
  • Fixed the error "system data not found" after running update baseline.
  • Fixed restore at restart scheduled tasks won't start problem.
  • Fixed the file recovery warning message box pop up after each reboot problem.
  • Fixed access the virtual drive for a snapshot getting "the disk needs to format" error.
  • Fixed setup problem on big disk with high fragmentation.

Could you post file hash info for the .zip/exe file you downloaded ?

Does anyone know if Easy Fix/Rollback is now working with an SSD drive? Tried this a few months back on a Win 8 installation, but couldn't even get the software installed when using an SSD. Tough to find a clear answer to this on the Rollback forums, as well.

Anyone know? Thanks.

Even If it appears to work,TRIM command won't work on SSDs..Save your SSD from Rollback Rx...don't install it...

Wait..i am searching for some posts..to provide you some links..

That's the clearest answer I've seen yet! Thank you. I'm disappointed, but that's better than continuing to try installing software that won't work for me.

Maybe this is a new reseller. EAZY FIX name is new to me, the one going for years is EAZ-FIX :o I used to use it, somehow I had less problems than with RX.

I have a lifetime license to Magicure but it hasn't updated in years. It was way cheaper than 1 year of rollback rx, I couldn't resist.

They usually all say they produced the software. I know Magicure stated that, but why no updates to it.

It's not for me anymore. Saving to the same disk as your OS is just pathetic nowadays. These softwares have had their time. They are fine for a bit of handy moving back and forth among your snapshots.

But for security of system I wouldn't recommend them on computers you can't afford to lose your data. They fail too often for many people.

I'd rather use AXTM and Drive Snapshot. B)

These kind of apps are a great idea IF your PC has just one OS on it.

If you are into having more than a single OS they are just hell to get working and most say right off that they are not to be used if multi-booting or have any Linux on your PC.

This is why I've stood with Driveclone 5 despite it being old & imperfect - it is fine with my multi-boot setup and even if I had Linux - and besides that it is quite small - total non-bloatware.

It'd be great if one of the others would do these things just as well as the snapshotting & quick restore - those are such good things !!
