They seriously need to update their website ASAP! They still mention Outlook express and MSN Explorer LOL! And there's no mention of support for Windows 7 or 8!

The following is a gem from their website as of today:

"nLite supports Windows 2000, XP x86/x64 and 2003 x86/x64 in all languages.

It needs .NET Framework 2.0 in order to run... Check if you have it already, maybe on some of your CDs before downloading if your connection is slow."

Alright, so it's just the one guy writing a free program in his spare time and not making a dime from it, but still :P

Actually nLite is only supporting what they claim. Point taken though. I'll update the description of this software in our listing now.

These are the components that are in the XP disk that you can remove, duh

Actually he did mention this:

For now there is no plan to update vLite, I am working on something else which will cover that area. The release date is not yet known, it is safe to say it can be counted in months, not years.

I assume hes working on a program for Vista/7/8

nLite for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1?

2013.08.28

Ever since I released the nLite update after so many years, I am getting the same question: will there be nLite for Windows 7+, is current nLite update all there is?

The answer is that I am working on such a tool, release date is unknown, but it can be counted in months, not years.

Unfortunatelly my quality bar is now much higher so I will not be releasing alpha versions to the public, still considering betas.

I'll post news here as soon as there is any, in the meantime nLite will be updated as it would be if I never left.

Off topic, good to see ricktendo as an active member of our community. @ricktendo, as you still making nlite addons? I used to be very active making those in the msfn forums when I had free time ( pre marriage :D )

Yeah, I didn't comment on whether the program itself needs updating, I said that some of the pages on the site does ;)

Go to 'about' (nliteos.com/nlite.html) and you'll see my point :)

Yes, still doing some xp addons and a spanish xp updatepack. Also doing some installer repacks (like slim .net4* and vmware/adobe reader lite)
