If I remember well, from what I learned from this forum, RB RX doesn't work with dual boot, or you need to install it on both OS to make it work, one of this solution, but you should wait for more experienced users to reply.

Try to activate offline

C: \ Program Files \ Shield - Shield.dat

Open IT with any Editor. Look at here:

Disable internet connection use the data from screenshots above with your promotion keys.

Then Block Netreg.exe (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Shield\) with firewall or delete/rename it. Open RollBack Rx main window >> Tools & Settings>> Baseline Manager, and UPDATE the baseline.

Enable internet connection again.

The latest version, there are no activation id in shield.dat

Get the mail details from who ever share the promotion with you or use your mail if it was you, i know there is one member of this forum has the same trouble he ask me all the detail then they give him another offline activation keys one week ago.

Lol We get Activation id in shield.dat only if we got successful activation online previously/We have to get Offline activation code from HDS Support(which seems highly unlikely atm)...Also Installation ids differ from one PC to another...

Now all the promotional keys given( used and unused) through the Coupon code Giveaway has been blacklisted.. :(

Now You can't get your offline activation key through Help desk by email.. :nono: The only way to get your offline Activation key is through Shield.dat file, only if you program is still Activated.. :smartass:

I haven't called them yet. A friend of mine recived a key for few more days after he submitted a ticket asking about the reson of the key being turned into demo. He said that the person who replied to his ticket didn't know why his credentials have been cancelled and will forward his case to another department.

I'm so mad because AX64 doesn't work on my W8, it freezes everytime I do a restore, 2 times it made my OS to not boot, I don't know what's the problem, so I don't have any option, only RB RX worked fine on my machine.

That's a workable solution : get a working key from HDS for a few days, activate and retrieve your data and then uninstall Rollback Rx. ;)

If you like and must have Rollback Rx on your system, ask HDS for a discount and buy a licence from them.

Despite what some others have posted negative comments about Rollback, it still does what it is supposed to do pretty well from my experience with it for the past few years. No regrets and I never even want to consider AX64 yet.

I do have my offline Activation keys for RollBack Rx 10.2, but still I'm using RollBack Rx version 10 with keygen. and it works smoothly in my windows 8 lappy.

The fact is that the latest version gave me 4-5 BSOD and it completely blocks the protected drive for defragmentation.

The +point with version 10 is, One has the facility to defragment the drives before updating Baseline..

I don't have many snapshots in RollBack Rx. It simply made the baseline during Installation, after the activation and blocking program with firewall, I updated the baseline. Now every week I simply make a snapshot whenever It seems that my system is running smoothly and then after a month I merge all the snapshots via updating Baseline after a complete drive defragmentation.... :)

Well, I didn't recive a working key to retrieve my data, only him. And he just asked for offline key, I submitted 2 tickets about data that I can't acces because my key doesn't work anymore, and they just put me to call customer service, and there i was put o hold and nothing. I haven't called them yet, again, because i have some problems with my thorat and i can't speak to much because of the pain, but i will not let them getting away with this so easy.

Things they did its not right if they give something with their mistake you can not take it away its their false someone should make complaint one the independent organisation, i give away all the promotion and i don't use it don't bother about it.

I have told you one of member here activate his application then Rollback disable it he was on demo i have send him my email with Order numbers etc then they gave him another activation code. You may need to push them little bit .

So did mine. Yesterday I am in Demo mode. Shucks and I really liked that program. I did update the program twice. Maybe I will try the earlier version and see if the key works with it.???????????????

They cannot block keys without notifying the users, that's a huge mistake, if I bought the software, it's my property now, so they don't have any right to block it in the first place, even if that wasn't an official giveaway, It's not the consumer fault that they did a mistake.

The thing is that their site is down, and I cannot check if they have answered to my mail/

Well..Finally, I'm planning to jump from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1(as I've got the much awaited nvidia driver for windows 8.1). :showoff:

Can anyone comment and confirm the working status of RollBack Rx 10.2 latest build with windows 8.1? :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

And I've my offline activation key for RollBack Rx 10.2, will that also work in Windows 8.1 if I'll upgrade my laptop from Windows 8 to windows 8.1 ? :think: :think: :think:

RollbackRX 10.2 works in Windows 8.1

but I can't be sure it works well with dual boot Windows 7 and 8.1

Offline activation still works (remember delete NetReg.exe or block with firewall). Good luck ! :D
