I think I owe my ISP an apology after calling them non-stop for the past few days. :sorry:

Never do that. They don't deserve your apologies. Besides, that's their job. And if they can't answer "The Internet is on fire", you get the point.

You should change the DNS and try between Google and OpenDNS?

Yup. Basically, internet didn't get fucked up only due to DDoS, but also due to wire cuts. Two things together.

Call it luck.

As per this article, these are the regions and lines affected:

As per that article, it will take only couple of days to fix it. However, I don't think undersea cables are a small thing, meaning, it may take some time.

Yup, I'm having problematic internet too, however, as I'm living in Mumbai, which probably has the best international connectivity (atleast on the EU side) I think the issue has been minimal here.

If download speeds are not effected then, your problem has to do more with DDoS attack - world's internet routers are said to be overloaded, means, huge times to open pages.

I just got on a little bit ago and that is the first thing that I noticed. Web pages I visit loading slow.

Speeds usual for me, but intermittent at times, the seacom cable was damaged.. Must be another cable, because the one in the image above is not affecting me.
