rKAnjEL
I know it's been asked before, yet I can't help but be a lil paranoid since VirusTotal says it's infected (42%).How can I differentiate between false/actual positives?http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/fc1ed9a564c93e031a6d5dcb9fda0026
shought
Look, there's no rule about when something is a false positive and when not, but when you get something of the nsane proxy you can nearly be a 100% sure it is not a virus. So I'd say when getting something from nsane that has 75 % of all AV say it's a virus, then I say screw them, it's not. Below 50 % should be fine in most other cases. But always remember to use your common sense! When a file(keygen, crack, patch) has a logo instead of the normal white window it is more likely to be legit, when a file has a .nfo describing the fix and telling you how to use it then it is more likely to be legit. All these things should be noted by you and if it feels bad, just ask people for experiences and then decide what you are going to do.In case you still haven't got the idea: It's a false positive :D
