The Nokia Lumia 900 officially launches on Sunday but Microsoft is sponsoring two online contests where some people will win a copy of the Windows Phone-based smartphone. The Windows Phone blog reveals that a Twitter contest is underway and will conclude with one person getting the Lumia 900.

To enter, simply follow the @windowsphone Twitter account and then post an answer to this question: “What would you do with more free time?” The message must include the hashtag #freetimemachine to be eligible to win. The competition is linked to the whole "time machine" promotion that we reported on earlier this week and ends at 5 pm Pacific time today (that's 8 pm Eastern time), so get tweeting quickly!

Another way to win a Lumia 900 is to become a member of Microsoft's Bing Rewards program. As we have reported before, signing up for Bing Rewards allows people to gain points based on searching and engaging in activities in Bing which can then be exchanged for prizes.

In this case, putting in 10 Bing Rewards points will enter you into the contest to win the Lumia 900. Microsoft even throws in $200 to help pay for that pesky AT&T contract. There will be five winners and the contest ends on May 1.

It is? It's $100 more (or the same price if you want the iPhone 4). Compare that with the $2000 you'll shell out for a 2-year plan, and the cost of the phone becomes quite insignificant.
